What is the Mitalee Youth Association?

Mitalee is a Bengali word and its nearest meaning is "Friendly, Unity"
The Mitalee Youth Association is a Voluntary community and Youth Organisation established since 1984.
The aim of the Mitalee Youth Association is to offer provision of Social/Educational/Recreational events,
activities and opportunities, which redress the disadvantage faced by Young people, though not
exclusively those of ethnic orgins.

Provide information on opportunities and raise the profile of issues that effect young people.

Promotion opportunities for young people to develop personal, social and practical skills.

Promotion of activities to encourage social inclusion, tolerance and understanding of differences.

The Aims and Objectives of the Mitalee Youth Association reflects a commitment to equality of
opportunity and are concerned with improving access to education, employment, recreation and
social opportunities.
